Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and management of a scalable, high-performance infrastructure to support Evergent's SaaS platform. Ensure the platform’s high availability, security, and efficiency in cloudbased services. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: • Develop a long-term infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals. • Engage in executive-level discussions to influence technology strategies. • Collaborate across departments to ensure the infrastructure supports product development, sales, and customer success efforts. Cloud Infrastructure Management: • Design and manage multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures. • Implement best practices for resource allocation, cost efficiency, and performance tuning in the cloud. • Maintain strong relationships with cloud service providers. Scalability and Performance: • Architect systems to accommodate rapid growth and traffic fluctuations. • Deploy auto-scaling and load-balancing solutions. • Conduct regular performance audits and address system bottlenecks. Security and Compliance: • Establish and enforce security policies and protocols. • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR). • Perform regular security audits and penetration tests. • Manage identity and access control systems. DevOps and CI/CD: • Cultivate a DevOps culture within the organization. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployments. • Promote infrastructure-as-code practices throughout the team. Monitoring and Incident Management: • Oversee system monitoring and implement effective incident management processes. • Ensure the quick resolution of issues and continuous improvement of infrastructure reliability. • Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems • Develop and maintain an incident response plan • Lead post-incident reviews and apply preventive actions Database Management: • Manage database architecture, performance, and scaling • Implement data replication and backup strategies • Ensure data integrity and optimize query performance Vendor Management: • Evaluate and select infrastructure tools and services • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology vendors • Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential value Cost Management: • Optimize infrastructure spending while maintaining performance and reliability • Provide leadership with regular cost analysis reports and forecasts • Implement FinOps practices for cloud cost management Documentation and Knowledge Management: • Ensure comprehensive documentation of infrastructure components, processes, and policies • Foster knowledge-sharing practices within the team and across the organization Cross-functional Collaboration: • Collaborate closely with software development teams to support new feature launches. • Work with customer support to resolve infrastructure-related issues • Partner with data science teams to support data processing and analytics needs Reporting and Communication: • Deliver regular updates to executive leadership on infrastructure performance, ongoing projects, and potential risks • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field • 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, ideally within SaaS environments • Deep understanding of cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and automation tools • Strong problem-solving and communication skills • Proven experience in team leadership and project management
