Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer/ Release Lead/ Architect
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CI/CD Specialist with a strong background in automating end-to-end
deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure management, and process improvement. The ideal
candidate will have deep expertise in Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, and Kubernetes, along with
extensive experience in AWS (mandatory), plus familiarity with GCP and Azure. This role requires
advanced scripting skills in Python and Groovy and a design-thinking mindset to innovate and
streamline our CI/CD tooling.
Key Responsibilities
1. CI/CD Pipeline Development & Automation
• Design & Implementation: Architect, develop, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
using Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible to enable smooth integration, testing, and
deployment of applications.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Utilize Kubernetes (K8s) to set up scalable build
servers that accelerate the compilation and deployment of build artifacts.
• Version Control: Manage code versioning using semantic versioning practices to
ensure accurate release management and traceability.
2. Cloud Infrastructure Management
• AWS Expertise: Leverage extensive AWS experience (e.g., EC2, S3, EKS,
CodePipeline) to deploy and manage cloud-based resources.
• Multi-Cloud Proficiency: Assist in managing and optimizing resources on GCP and
Azure as part of our hybrid cloud strategy.
• Automation: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices for automated
provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
3. Deployment Accountability & Troubleshooting
• Process Improvement: Develop robust processes to track, audit, and quickly resolve
failed deployments or those introducing bugs into the system.
• Monitoring & Logging: Integrate monitoring and logging tools (such as Prometheus,
Grafana, or ELK Stack) to proactively identify and mitigate issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to enforce pre-deployment
validations, rollback mechanisms, and post-deployment verification.
4. Innovation & Tooling Design
• Design Thinking: Apply creative problem-solving and design-thinking methodologies to
evaluate, select, and set up the best tooling for our CI/CD workflows.
• Security Integration: Embed security best practices (DevSecOps) within the CI/CD
pipelines, including vulnerability scanning and compliance checks.
Technical Requirements
• Mandatory Skills:
o Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab, and
Ansible.
o Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and Groovy.
o Proven expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, EKS, CodePipeline).
o Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration and automation.
o Solid understanding of version control best practices, including semantic versioning
and Git workflows.
• Preferred Skills:
o Experience with cloud-native DevOps tools on GCP and Azure (e.g., Azure DevOps,
Google Cloud Build).
o Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
o Knowledge of additional infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS
CloudFormation).
• Soft Skills:
